Special Education

A free appropriate public education (FAPE) is available to all children, including children with disabilities, residing in the State between the ages of 3 and 21. The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) is the law that outlines rights and regulations for students with disabilities in the U.S. who require Special Education. Children who are mentally, physically, socially and/or emotionally delayed are provided services through special education programs once determined eligible through the evaluation process.  The educational programs focus on enhancing student achievement and post-secondary outcomes.
