With a rich background in coaching and a deep understanding of the importance of athletics in our community, Kurt brings a wealth of experience and passion to our program. As a South Georgia native, he's no stranger to the significance of football in our region and the responsibility that comes with leading a historic program like Macon County High School.
Kurt's impressive track record speaks for itself. Over the past fourteen years, he has contributed to the success of multiple football—programs including our own—earning conference and region titles, as well as numerous playoff appearances. During his six seasons as Head Coach at Lanier County High School, Kurt transformed the program from one with minimal success to one that achieved historic milestones, including hosting and winning playoff games, achieving rankings, and securing college scholarships for players.
Prior to his time as Head Coach, Kurt served as a Defensive Coordinator at both Brunswick High School and Macon County High School, where he played pivotal roles in developing top-tier defenses and guiding players to collegiate opportunities.
His dedication and expertise have not gone unnoticed, earning him accolades such as the Southeast Georgia FCA Coach of the Year and Parker's Resources Coach of the Year.
